At Home Guides
Perplexed by phonics? Mystified by long multiplication? Bewildered by blending? Don’t worry – we’re coming to the rescue!
Over the next year we hope to develop a range of ‘At Home Guides’ and video clips to help you to support your child’s learning in the home environment.
As we work towards implementing a continuous profiling and reporting approach you should have a good idea of your child’s strengths and areas for development. You can use these guides and video clips to help support your child to make progress in the areas he or she finds difficult as well as finding out ways to challenge your child in areas where he or she shows strengths.
At Inverlochy we don’t believe in a ‘one size fits all’ approach to homework, instead opting for a more personalised approach, tailored to the needs of individual children and families. Here you will find a range of resources and ideas to do just that.
“Often, the more supported a child feels at home, the more effectively she or he will learn at school. Whatever your lifestyle, or family situation, it is never too soon (or too late) to start helping your child develop a positive attitude towards learning.”
